Carmelized Figs with Vanilla Ice Cream & Aged Balsamic Vinegar

  • 12 firm, ripe figs, halved lengthwise
  • 3 T raw sugar or light brown sugar
  • 1 pint premium vanilla ice cream
  • 2 T 25-Year Balsamic Vinegar Buy now

Arrange figs, cut side up, in a large shallow baking dish. Sprinkle sugar evenly over figs and broil 2 to 3 inches from heat until most of the sugar is melted and carmelized, about three to five minutes.

Dish up 4 bowls of the vanilla ice cream, place three warm figs on top each bowl, and drizzle with the aged balsamic vinegar. Serves 4
